The Kentucky Agricultural Development has provided a matching grant for the WKU SmartHolstein Lab to foster development of dairy and agricultural technology in Kentucky

Collaborations and partnerships from established and startup dairy technology and data providers are welcomed and essential for the success of this project. Multiple partners have already agreed to participate in this project. Communication, continuous feedback, and confidentiality are critical to these partnerships. The WKU SmartHolstein Lab is a place where partners can come to explore new opportunities with an experienced team of dairy analytics leaders. Industry partnerships may come in the form of donation of expertise, technologies, or graduate student stipends. Mutually beneficial collaborations with other university faculty members, international visitors and scientists, and non-profits will also be welcome. All data will be stored securely and only shared when agreed upon by contributing partners. The aim of any research project is to publish in peer-reviewed journals. Just as importantly, research will be presented in scientific and industry meetings and in dairy magazines. Translational research conducted in the WKU SmartHolstein Lab should be science-sound and farm-bound. Contact us if you are interested in being our next partner in this exciting endeavor.
